As the bank has grown, good progress has been made with the development of the bank's CSR strategy, which forms an important part of the bank's overall business strategy. With its growth into emerging markets and a clear focus on natural resource industries, such as seafood and geothermal energy, Glitnir is truly committed to social sustainability. As proof of our commitment, in January 2007, Glitnir signed an agreement to become a party to the United Nations Global Compact agreement which is concerned with exhibiting and building the social legitimacy of business and markets.
