Glitnir Representative Office in Halifax, Nova Scotia

Glitnir in Canada has primarily focused on the seafood industry offering a wide range of credit facilties.

The office promotes our services to customers and potential customers in Atlantic Canada and other provinces while all business is conducted from our headquarters in Iceland. Our aim is to develop further into our core sectors as well: food, sustainable energy and offshore service vessels.

The Glitnir office in Halifax is a representative office that is a part of Glitnir's International banking team. The establishment of the representative office was authorized by the Canadian Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) in March 2006 and the office opened formally in April 2006. We are delighted to be based in the heart of the Maritimes, the fishery and seafood center of Canada.
