Nutreco CEO Dekker to speak at Glitnir's Luncheon in Brussels
Wout Dekker, CEO of Nutreco Holding N.VGlitnir will host its sixth annual Luncheon at the European Seafood Exposition in Brussels on 23 April. The bank is honored to present Mr. Wout Dekker, CEO of Nutreco Holding N.V. as this year´s guest speaker.
Based in Amsterdam, Nutreco is the 5th largest animal nutrition supplier in the world and the largest feed supplier to the global seafood industry. Overall, the company has over 100 production and processing plants in more than 25 countries with in total 9,000 employees.
Nutreco divested its holdings in the seafood industry in 2006 with the sale of Marine Harvest for EUR 881 million, a milestone in Nutreco´s growth plans, which aim for strategic focus in the animal feed sector. Fish feed continues to be of major importance to Nutreco, accounting for almost half of the company´s operating profits.
Mr. Dekker will share his views of the past, present and future and how the current rise of raw material prices across the entire food chain, combined with the current economic and financial conditions will affect the seafood industry. His career has been intertwined with the seafood business as 2008 marks his 25th anniversary at Nutreco. From his early days as an R&D manager to the past 8 years as CEO, seafood has played a large role in Dekker´s focus and Nutreco´s business. The Luncheon is by invitation only.
