Our Research Activities
Glitnir is doing its own research of geothermal energy and business opportunities. These are aimed not only on business origination for Glitnir Product/ Service groups and offices, but also for investors and industry players.
Our research is focusing on geothermal energy world-wide, including not only the generation of electricity from geothermal energy, but also direct use applications, e.g. in district heating. Our geographic focus lies on regions with high temperature resources.
As part of this research, Glitnir is publishing on an unregular basis research report on markets with an existing geothermal industry or regions/ countries with geothermal potential. We also provide reports and documentations for our clients. Furthermore the educational role that our research and publication play in the promotion of geothermal energy cannot be underestimated.
Internally, we seek to ensure that our employees have an awareness of our environmental approach to do business with educational papers. Externally, we publish an annual country report on the development of the geothermal energy sector. Several smaller fact sheets are being published on technological or other political matters related to the development of the global geothermal energy generation.
